Pantera Owners Club of America

We have a new look and feel as well as some new content.  In this initial release (version 1.0), we have moved the content from the old website to the new site and given it a modernized look with a portal-style interface and new graphics.  Our new site is built on a dedicated server that we control which gives us more flexibility to add content ands services.

• Forum.  We have a web-based forum for posting and reading messages with multiple topic areas.  You can attach photos, videos, and other files.  We will still continue to support the mail-based forum for those who prefer that style.
• Club Store.  The club store is now on the same server with the web site.  It has an SSL cert, so now you can use the store without that ominous security warning.
• Albums.  We have a album that allows POCA members to upload and manage their photos, videos, and other media files.
• Chapter pages.  Every POCA chapter has it own page for chapter information.  The POCA site can server as the web site for those chapters without their own web sites.
• Events calendar. Users can post Pantera events and other events of interest on the POCA calendar.  The events are automatically filtered and posted into the chapter pages.
• Vendor list.  There is a list of the Pantera vendors and a clickable map of vendor locations.
• Polling.  We have on-line polling to gather people's opinions on various topics.
• Fun Rally. There is a dedicated section for the Fun Rally.
• New Owners.  There is a new section for helping would-be buyers and new owners.
• Search engine. There is a great search engine for finding the right content on the site.

• Membership services.  We will have the ability to sign up and renew membership on-line and have a membership roster on-line.
• Profile and Newsletters archive.  We have scanned archive copies of the Newsletters and Profiles and made PDF files.  We will make those files available to POCA members.
• Tech articles.  We are starting a collection of articles pulled from the Newsletters and other sources.  Some articles will be public.  Others will be POCA member only.
• Registry.  There is a lot of work to set this up, so this will rollout sometime in 2009.
• POCAMart classified ads.  Users will be able to post and manager their own for sale ads.
• Article comments.  Like the major news web sites, readers will be able to add their own comments to articles on the site.
